The last white mountains

Dear Will Parker

I've been reading about you since the end of January. You were a brave boy to take on the dangerous journey. Weren't you hesitant when Osymandias gave you the offer of leaving your home? Your only parents? What about missing your own home? If I were you, I would have been hesitant but you were brave to endure the pain of leaving home. I wouldn't have endured it. I know how it might have felt when Henry came along with you. Henry was a person you didn't like so I think it would have been strange. You were smart enough to find Captain Curtis to cross the ocean. Your lucky that he had helped you or else you might have been lost. How were you feeling that time? Were you nervous or just normal? I would have been nervous to reach a place that you have never been to. You did a good job going to an unknown island! (France actually)

Will, I know you have been ill and was in the Chateau de la Tour Rouge for somedays and fell in love with Eloise. You would have been shocked that she was a capped girl which was different from being a free girl. You would have been really sad, and depressed that the woman you love couldn't come along with you and she had to go serve the tripods forever. You would have been in real pain leaving your love behind somewhere else. I know you felt like that but falling in love with a girl wasn't really a good thing to do because you had to continue your journey. It was kind of a foolish thing to do. I would have stayed there, until I get better and leave immediately or the tripods will get you. That is what I should have done.

Also, you were really courageous to take the metal of the caps beneath your arm off. Normally, some boys would have been scared to remove the button because it was on the surface of your flesh. It would have hurt a lot too. I wouldn't have the courage to do that but I think you did an excellent job removing that thing. You should thank Beanpole because he was the one who removed it from you and, he and Henry noticed there was a button beneath your arm or else you would have been followed by the tripods. You were really brave to fight the tripod. Even though it was much bigger and stronger than you, you defeated it. It was good that the tripod picked you up because you were able to throw the metal egg into the hole of the tripod. I felt really relieved that you made it to the White Mountains. Like Ozymandias had said, it was a dangerous and a long journey. I'm glad that you are living with the free men now. I hope that the free people will defeat the tripods and enjoy the goodness of the land.
